8th October 2026
On Monday 5 October, works began to improve the main path in Cuttle Brook Nature Reserve.
The works began by removing the existing top layer of the path. This will then be replaced with recycled road planings, the same type of surfacing originally used for these paths. The approximately 1.2m-wide route will provide a firmer, more durable surface, making it easier for people who are wheeling, walking or using mobility aids to enjoy the Nature Reserve.
During this time, a few of the parking spaces at Southern Road Recreation Ground will be fenced off. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
