Rotary’s collection of tools is back. As you are doing your spring cleaning this year, please keep us in mind and come donate your old tools and sewing machines in Thame on 13th July. Where: In car park next to Thame’s Market House (Citizen Advice Bureau) on Saturday 13th July between 9am and 1pm. Tools which can be accepted are: Electric and manual sewing machines Hand tools: screwdrivers, socket sets, spanners, bench vices, saws, hacksaws and planes 240V electric hand tools produced Garden tools: forks and spades which have wooden handles Once tools are donated to Rotary, they are taken to ‘Tooks for Self Reliance’ collection centre in Southampton. TSFR charity’s volunteers refurbish them and send them to NGO’s in Africa. The NGO’s then distribute…

Thame Bowls Club, which is celebrating its’ Centenary this year, are holding an Open Morning on 13th July between the hours of 9am – 12pm when we will have bowls coaches at the Club and on the bowls green ready to give anyone of any age a go at bowls. All anyone needs to bring along is a pair of trainers or flat soled shoes, everything else they will need will be provided. Many people think bowls is an old person’s game but anyone watching the World Championships or Commonwealth Games will know that isn’t the case. https://www.thamebowlsclub.co.uk/
