The Town Council will meet on Tuesday 13 October at 6.30pm in the Upper Chamber at Thame Town Hall. Residents are welcome to attend. Full agenda and reports are available on the website.
The Council will receive a presentation from Citizens Advice Oxfordshire South & Vale, providing an insight into the support and advice services available to local residents and the impact of their work within Thame.
Several governance and operational matters will be considered during the meeting, including the results of the Council's 2025/26 External Audit and the appointment of suppliers for new three-year IT and cloud-based telephone service contracts.
Members will receive an update on the Community & Youth Centre at Southern Road Recreation Ground including noting plans for a volunteer-led youth focused fundraising and awareness event on Saturday 5 December at Thame Town Hall.
Officers will update Council relating to burial space to meet future needs in the parish. The Council will consider funding arrangements for preliminary investigations and appoint authorised signatories for any related S106 agreements.
Other agenda items include reviewing the recommendations arising from the S19 Flood Investigation Report, receiving updates from County and District Councillors, highlighting arrangements for Remembrance 2026, including the annual Remembrance Service on Sunday 8 November and the Armistice Day commemoration on 11 November.
Members of the public are welcome at all meetings. A public participation period is set aside at the start of each meeting in which the public may ask questions or make comments regarding any matter on the agenda. In order to speak at a Council meeting, members of the public must apply in writing to the Town Clerk by 5pm on the day preceding the meeting.
