9.3 million people in the UK are facing problem debt and are in need of debt advice. It can take only a slight change in circumstances for someone to find themselves trapped in unmanageable debt.
Thame Debt Centre, launched in January 2020, run by Grace Church Thame with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has been helping people in Thame and the surrounding villages.
In the last 2 years the Thame Debt Centre has :
- Helped over 40 people who have been struggling with debt, many of whom are now debt free or on their way to becoming free from debt.
- Run several money coaching workshops to help people gain control of their finances.
- Provided support to those isolated and struggling with money concerns.
The service is completely FREE and available for anyone who is in debt (regardless of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or disability).
