Thame United Weekend Results Round Up

Thame United A were in Friday night action at Meadow View Park in the Ulhsport Hellenic League Division Two East with the visit of Chalfont Wasps First. It was a good performance from the Thame side, coming away with a 5 – 1 victory. Two goals from Burundi Maxwell and one each from Fladimirio Freitas, James Hickling and Kaiyun Reeves wrapped up the points. The win lifts Thame up to third place in the table.

Thame United First were back in home action in Pitching In Southern League Division One action, a month away. Ware were the visitors, with Thame already having a victory over the Hertfordshire side on the opening day of the season. It was a very good performance from Thame who put last weeks performance behind them to end up with a 4 – 0 victory. Greg Hackett opened his account this season with the first, then Harry Alexander was on the scoresheet to put two up at the interval. Thame continued to dominate and two more headed goals from captain Mark Riddick wrapped up a good afternoon for the Red Kites.

Thame United Reserves were back in Oxfordshire Senior League action with an away trip to Halse United, hoping to put behind them last weeks cup exit. Thame came away with a 3 – 2 victory to maintain second place in the league on goal difference from Yarnton Firsts who have a game in hand. Goals from Ihieanyi Ejmontor, Taylor Goodby and Charlie Stow were on target for Thame.

In the Aylesbury and District League it was first vs second in Division 2 as Thame United B took on Oving FC at Meadow View Park, the game went the way of the league leaders with a convincing 6 – 0 victory, meaning Oving pulled 3 points clear at the top of the table, while Thame remain in second place. In Division two Thame United C, travelled to Aylesbury to play Aylesbury Vale Dynamos Warriors who are currently joint top in the league. In a hard fought match the visitors were unlucky not to have come away with a point succumbing to an 98th minute winner, to lose the match 3 -2.
