On Thursday 6th February, Thame residents will have the chance to vote in a referendum relating to the adoption of the Thame Neighbourhood Plan 2 (TNP2).
The question:
‘Do you want South Oxfordshire District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Thame to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
This week, South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) has been distributing Poll Cards to local homes.
How to Vote
To vote, you must be registered to vote in local elections by Tuesday 21 January 2025 and live in the referendum area. Make sure you register to vote if you haven’t already.
In Person
You can vote in person on Thursday 6th February 2025 at your local polling station. You will receive a poll card confirming your polling station for this Referendum. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm and you will need to take photo ID to vote in person.
Postal Votes
If you want to vote by post, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 22 January 2025 at: Electoral Services, South Oxfordshire District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JEOr email to [email protected].More information is available on SODC’s Vote by Post page.
Proxy Votes
If you can’t get to the polling station and don’t wish to vote by post, you may be able to vote by proxy. If you want to vote by proxy, you will need to complete an application form and send it to the Electoral Registration Officer to arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 29 January 2025 at the address above or email to [email protected].
