The rain was beating down and the wind was howling but over 90 local residents braved the elements and came to the TGL Home and Community Energy EXPO at the Barns Centre last Wednesday evening. They came to learn more about how to use energy more efficiently and make their homes more energy efficient.
Feedback has described it as a ‘great event and with more time for Q and A would have been good’ and ‘really well organised, thanks for setting it up.’
If you missed the evening you can find all the information from the speakers on the Thame Green Living website, and also how to get in touch with people running the live projects to help you on your energy efficiency journey – including Renewable Thame ( via Energy My Way), Cosy Thame, Cosy Home Oxfordshire, and the Phoenix Energy Community group. All the projects are helping people in Thame and the surrounding villages.
Phoenix Energy Community (a joint project for Thame, Long Crendon and Haddenham) are currently running a survey to find out the level of local interest to build an energy resilient power network for our area. They would like as many people as possible to complete this so we have the best local information to inform the decisions on the best way forward. You can read more about the Phoenix Energy Group on the TGL website. The survey is open until midnight 12th November and you can complete it by clicking on the link below. You will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win the free use of and electric vehicle for 24 hours, generously supplied by local company 3BHire in Long Crendon.
TGL would like to thank all the attendees for their enthusiasm, the speakers for their hard work and the EXPO sponsors EnergyMyWay and Kubota.
