Please see the below update from Thame Town Council:
We are so disappointed. This morning we learned that the recently redeveloped Elms Park play area was damaged last night. A fire was lit under the main castle unit, resulting in damage to the wet pour safety surface.
Thankfully, none of the equipment was harmed, and the slides and other play areas remain open to the public. However, we will need to repair the damaged surface.
If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area last night, please contact the Information Centre 01844 212 833 so that we can report it to the police.
And we urge those responsible to please reconsider such actions in the future, as they impact our entire community.
