If you have been to Southern Road Recreation Ground Play Area recently, you might've noticed an anti-litter banner. This banner is a part of a South Oxfordshire District Council campaign to reduce the amount of litter we see in our parks. Please read the following message from SODC below:
'Litter bins in our most popular parks can fill up very quickly during the summer. Our staff do try to empty them as soon as possible, however if a bin starts overflowing rubbish could end up spoiling the environment or end up in our rivers. To help protect wildlife and keep the environment clean, if the bin is full, please take your picnic waste home with you - thank you!'
