A couple looking to buy a house are taken back through time to show how Thame has evolved from a Neolithic settlement under Thame Meadows, through Roman occupation, Anglo Saxon settlement and into the medieval and modern eras.
Narrated by the much-loved former BBC Weatherman, Bill Giles, the story is told through entertaining and humorous cameo scenes depicting elements of life as it may have been during various periods in Thame's history, culminating in a finale that celebrates the town today.
Written, produced and directed by the same team that staged the highly acclaimed 'Ten Tommies from Thame' in 2018, 'Our Town, Our Story' is another original community production being staged as a fundraiser for Thame Players and Thame Museum. Performances at the Players Theatre are 4 - 6 November at 7.45pm.
Tickets are £7.50 each and are available from the Town Hall or online https://www.thameplayers.co.uk/events/our-town-our-story
