UK’s leading independent builders’ merchant, MKM, has announced the opening of its new branch in Thame, located at Lupton Road, OX9 3SE. Opening its doors on 2nd October 2023, the Thame branch will mark MKM's 123rd branch in the UK and has created 18 new jobs for the area.
MKM Thame Branch Directors Aaron Campbell and Jake Sherwin have extensive ties to the Thame community, and both will bring their deep understanding of local customers as well as expertise in the merchanting industry to the new branch.
Aaron, who has lived locally for over 10 years, said:

With a 30,000 sq. ft warehouse, all MKM Thame timber is dry stored, and the branch will stock a full selection of building, timber, and plumbing & heating supplies. The branch has the added benefit of a professional kitchen & bathroom team with the ability to create visuals and plans, plus and a 2,000 sq. ft kitchen & bathroom showroom showcasing products from market leading suppliers. With dedicated specialists for every range, all with over 100 years of combined experience, MKM Thame promises a seamless experience for the public and tradespeople.
BranchDirector Jake Sherwin has been a Thame resident all his life and started out in the industry at 18, working in a yard before moving to sales positions and eventually running his own branch. He added:

Tradespeople, the public and local media are invited to drop into the branch grand opening on the 2nd October when Mayor of Thame, Cllr Adrian Dite and spokespersons from charities MKM Thame will support including Red Kite Family Centre, which provides an essential lifeline of help and encouragement, will be in attendance.
