Loud Mouth Community Choir to Present Festive Charity Concert in Thame

The Loud Mouth Community Choir, a newly formed group based in Thame, is set to host a special Christmas concert titled Darkness & Light: Songs & Spoken Word for a Christmas Night. The event will take place on Saturday, 14th December, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the picturesque Thame Barns on Church Road, OX9 3AJ.

The choir, which made its impressive debut earlier this year at the popular Music in the Park festival, promises an enchanting evening filled with festive songs and spoken word performances. As a fresh addition to Thame’s vibrant arts scene, Loud Mouth Choir has already captured local hearts with its energy and community spirit.

This concert is being held in aid of SeeSaw, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people through bereavement. By attending, audience members will not only enjoy a warm and uplifting evening but also contribute to a meaningful cause during the holiday season.

Tickets and further information can be accessed via the Loud Mouth Choir’s website at www.emilyschoirs.co.uk/loud-mouth-choir. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the magic of Christmas while supporting an incredible local initiative.

The second “Carwithen Music Festival” will continue the celebration and legacy of Doreen Carwithen’s music, in the village of Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, where she was born. It will also continue to explore the connections between Doreen and other male/female composers of the time. Dr Leah Broad’s book “Quartet”, published by Faber, and now the deserved winner of a Royal Philharmonic Society award, is the first book to celebrate Doreen’s life alongside other influential female composers. Leah will be at the festival to sign copies of her book and to narrate Friday night’s concert (July 11th) which features some wonderful music analysed in the book. The Festival will again consider “Carwithen Connections”, where almost every piece of music performed will have some connection with Doreen or her family. This…
