Cromwell Avenue in Thame has now reopened following a police incident in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, 18 August).
Thames Valley Police said officers attended a property on Cromwell Avenue at around midnight as part of an attempt to arrest a man in connection with a criminal damage incident.
Police carried out an armed deployment during the incident, which has now been resolved.
A 55-year-old man from Thame has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody.
Cromwell Avenue was closed for several hours while police activity took place, with residents asked to avoid the area.
Thames Valley Police has confirmed that the road has now reopened and thanked local residents for their patience while the incident was dealt with.
