14th October 2024
VISITORS to a Thame opticians will be greeted with ghosts and witches at the end of this month (28 October – 3 November) as part of a Halloween themed fundraiser.
Specsavers on the High Street is hosting the activity to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Throughout the week visitors can dare (in return for donations) to have a go at estimating how many sweets in a jar or guessing the name of the ghost – with treats in store for the lucky winners.
Those visiting on Halloween (31 October) will be welcomed into store by some spooky staff – as the team ditch their uniforms for scarier attire.
‘Halloween offers a good excuse for a little fun and what better way than to combine it with fundraising,’ comments Neil Perry, store director, Specsavers Thame. ‘We’d encourage the local community to pop in and support us during the half term week and have a go at the activities on offer – we’ve lots of treats in store, and promise no tricks!’
