Council Working to Remove Travellers

On Tuesday 13 August, Thame Town Council was alerted that a group of travellers were setting-up an illegal encampment at the Southern Road Recreation Ground.

The Council took immediate steps to regain possession of the land, engaging Oxfordshire County Council's Gypsy and Traveller Services and Thames Valley Police.

Thame Town Council has been advised that the Travellers Services Manager has now issued the group with a Notice of Owner and Direction to Leave for Thursday 15 August at 1800hrs.
