20th June 2024
On Saturday 22nd June, Thame Town Hall will host the town's first Healthy Thame Fayre, a free event focused on making Thame a more healthy, active community.
The idea for the Fayre originated from the Rycote Practice PPG (patient participation group) in conjunction with Thame Town Council.
Thame Mayor, Cllr Andy Gilbert said, 'our aim is to include all ages, all genders, and mental as well as physical health. We’ve invited participation from all the sporting clubs around Thame and have closed off the street at the side of the Town Hall so we can have some active events. We also have a few surprise guests coming along to talk about healthy living and share their experiences.'
The Fayre will feature representatives from various organisations, including: Chinnor RFC, Racquets Fitness Centre, Thame Runners, Thame Cycling Club, Thame Cricket Club, Thame Tennis Club, Thame & Wheatley Ramblers, Fit for Life/Feet for Life, True Fitness with Carrie, Firelight Yoga & Wellness, MP Sports, Thame Senior Friendship Centre, the Dementia Café, Thame & District U3A, Active Thame, Healthier Together, Connect Health Oxon, and the Thame Rycote GP Practice.
The Healthy Thame Fayre will be held at the Thame Town Hall, Saturday 22nd June from 10.00am - 4.00pm.
