Rotary’s collection of tools is back

21st May 2024

Rotary’s collection of tools is back. As you are doing your spring cleaning this year, please keep us in mind and come donate your old tools and sewing machines in Thame on 13th July.

Where: In car park next to Thame’s Market House (Citizen Advice Bureau) on Saturday 13th July between 9am and 1pm.

Tools which can be accepted are:

  • Electric and manual sewing machines
  • Hand tools: screwdrivers, socket sets, spanners, bench vices, saws, hacksaws and planes
  • 240V electric hand tools produced
  • Garden tools: forks and spades which have wooden handles

Once tools are donated to Rotary, they are taken to ‘Tooks for Self Reliance’ collection centre in Southampton. TSFR charity’s volunteers refurbish them and send them to NGO’s in Africa. The NGO’s then distribute them free to men and women which helps them to obtain work.

If you do not have access to transport to deliver your donations, we will be able to arrange a limited service to collect tools direct from your home this year. Please email [email protected] to discuss collection.
