CPM Thame 10k is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024

2nd April 2024

Please see the below information from Rod Lavers, the CPM Thame 10k Race Secretary:

"We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and looking forward to planning your summer racing schedule. Please find a date in your diary to run our magnificent Thame 10k Road Race, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024 and we're also proud and privileged to announce that our sponsors; CPM are also celebrating 30 years of sponsoring our very popular event.

This year the race is on Sunday 30th June with 9.00 a.m. start.

As per usual we have a self imposed 1000 limit on entries and it's very encouraging to see that we have almost 250 registered runners so far. It's always a pleasure to welcome back so many of our regular supporters and also a great number of new faces year on year. As with last year there is also a children's Colour Run which takes place straight after the main race leaves the field. The very worthy cause of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance is the recipient of all the money raised for the kids event. The TVAA also provide refreshments for runners and supporters alike, before, during and after the race.

Online entries for the main race are available at www.runbritain.co.uk, where you will find all the relevant details to join us on Sunday 30th June. We look forward very much to seeing you all again to continue one of Thame's greatest traditions and we wish you all the best in your training preparations. Good luck!!"

Rod Lavers,

Race Secretary,

CPM Thame 10k.

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
