At approximately 01:54 this morning, both appliances from @Thame Fire Station supported by colleagues from Slade Park Fire Station and BFRS High Wycombe Fire Station attended this roof fire in Chinnor.
On arrival, crews were faced with smoke issuing from beneath the roof tiles. A Breathing Apparatus team using a high-pressure hose reel jet made entry to the property to locate and extinguish the fire. Fortunately, they were able to quickly stop the fire from spreading. A specialist positive pressure fan was used to help clear any remaining smoke from the property. Crews stayed on scene until around 5am, cutting away and damping down.
All the occupants had managed to escape without injury and the prompt 999 call meant the damage was kept to a minimum.
