Yesterday aftenooon just after 3pm, crews from High Wycombe, Thame and Slade Park attended a significant road traffic collision completely blocking the northbound carriageway just before junction six of the M40.
Crews responded with South Central Ambulance Service, Thames Valley Police and Highways England working to clear the incident and were able to make the scene safe and support ambulance crews with casualty care.
In total, eight vehicles were involved, including two HGV’s but despite significant damage, fortunately no-one was significantly injured. Two dogs were taken to the vets by Thames Valley Police for checks due to possible injuries.
The carriageway was reopened in part after around an hour to clear blocked traffic.
Driving in wet and winter weather always requires significant concentration and making sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe will give you the best chance should the worst occur.
