County Drugs Lines Week of Action

The South & Vale LPA can now release results from the work undertaken as an area last week as part of the latest County Lines Intensification Week.

Weeks like this allow us to dedicate a burst of activity and resources highlighting to the public our absolute determination to rid communities of this abhorrent crime.

This intensive week of action saw officers from this Local policing area carry out warrants, make arrests and pursue other activity to disrupt county lines drug dealers.

Of significant note officers executed a warrant in the area of Thame on a large self-contained warehouse, which had been converted into a sophisticated cannabis factory with a preliminary value in the region of 1.6 million. As a result, 2 males have been arrested in conjunction with this warrant.

I want to highlight this work undertaken, as tackling Organised Crime Groups (OCGs) and County Lines is an absolute priority for our area and we are determined to work closely with our partners.

We know that vulnerable people are exploited by criminal networks every single day in this county. Last week’s activity is an example of the work we’ll be doing to disrupt criminal networks and safeguard the vulnerable. We will work relentlessly to target those who cause misery in our communities by exploiting the vulnerable – often with threats and violence – for their own personal gain. We’re also increasing intelligence operations, disrupting drug supply and working with our partners to reduce demand for drugs by getting to the root causes of addiction and offering help and support to those affected.”

It is important that the public continue to help us in our fight against serious and organised crime by reporting matters of concern. You can make a report by calling us on 101 or contacting crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

My thanks to all those involved in this week for their dedication and commitment to bring offenders to justice and to disrupt activity. Detective Inspector Jarvis – South & Vale LPA
