Where does my council tax go?

Residents in Oxfordshire will have recently received their council tax bill for 2026-27. Did you know that for every £1 you pay in council tax, this is shared between Oxfordshire County Council (77p), Police & Crime Commissioner (12p), South Oxfordshire District Council (6p) and Thame Town Council (5p)? You can view the 2026-27 council tax leaflets for each organisation here.
