Video shows terrifying fire as it rips through Tetsworth house

Four fire crews from Thame, Slade Park, BFRS High Wycombe and Wallingford plus Slade Parks incident command unit worked tirelessly to control and managed to prevent this severe house fire spreading to the adjoining next door house in Tetsworth, near Thame on Saturday night just after 10pm.

The occupants were able to fortunately escape moments before the fire took hold and spread throughout. Colleagues from Thames Valley Police have been working supporting crews.

Fire investigation officers are working today at the incident to determine the cause, but initial findings are indicating it was caused by a battery powered item on charge within in the property which malfunctioned.

Crews were on scene throughout the night and further investigations are ongoing.

As in this incident, please make sure you have working smoke alarms - they can be the early warning you and your family need to escape safely should the worst occur.
