A vehicle was seized in Chinnor this morning after being found without valid insurance or road tax, Thames Valley Police have confirmed.
PC Woolley stopped the vehicle as routine checks indicated it was neither insured nor taxed. During the stop, officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis emanating from the vehicle, prompting a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Following the search, the driver was reported for driving without insurance, and the vehicle was subsequently seized. Authorities have not confirmed whether any drugs were found during the search.
Thames Valley Police continue to emphasize the importance of road safety and legal compliance, urging drivers to ensure their vehicles meet all legal requirements before taking to the road.
Residents with concerns about uninsured or illegal vehicles can report them via the police non-emergency number 101 or through local online reporting tools.
