VE75 Day celebrations at home

As Thame is unable to go ahead with the planned celebrations for this special occasion on Friday 8 May, the Town Council is encouraging people to have a picnic/bbq in their gardens alongside their neighbours whilst maintaining social distancing at all times.

They would love it if you could help them to decorate the Town Hall and your own home by colouring in red white and blue from the choice of templates https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/remembrance/remembrance-events/ve-day-75
Pop your drawings with your first name on them into the letter box on the front door of the Town Hall when you are out for your exercise and they will put them up on the windows.

The timetable for national events on this day are as follows:

  1. 11.00am - Go to the Thame Town Council Facebook Page for Live Streaming of the 2 minute silence.
  2. 11.15am – Royal British Legion Live Stream  https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/stories/ve-day-75-webcast
