VE Day Celebrations

15th May 2025

A big thank you to those who attended and celebrated the 80th VE Day sing-a-long on Thursday 8th May at Southern Road Recreation Ground. 

A massive thank you to the singers and entertainment team of Ross Hardman, Phillipa Mummery, Thame Concert Band, Ian English and Mark Fellows for providing the sound system and expert introductions.

A shout out to K&A Scaffolding for building the stage. St Mary's Church, Thame and Rev Reading for the VE 80th Blessing and the Bell Tower Captain for ringing out to celebrate Peace. 594 Thame Squadron Royal Air force Air Cadets & Thame Army Cadet Force for providing activities for Thame Scouts and members of the public to experience.

There was a visit by the Thame Fire Station and Thames Valley Police South Oxon and Vale of White Horse Teams came along too.
