Community Services committee - 21 July 2026
The committee received the latest updates on community events, partnerships, safety and services such as the Information Centre, and council communications. Reports can be viewed on the council’s website.
The committee commended the work of the Community Events Officer for the successful Town Awards and Taste of Thame events, and organisation of activities for ACE week.
The committee also agreed:
- That Taste of Thame will take place next year on Saturday 29 May and will again be organised by the Town Council
- Minor amendments to the Social Media and Media Relations Policy
- The proposed publicity plan for the 2027 elections and ‘become a councillor’ campaign
- To form a working group to refine the specification for improvements to the Town Hall Upper Chamber’s audio and visual equipment
- To explore further with Oxfordshire County Council Highways the feasibility of speed indicator devices on locations identified by residents’ associations
