According to the Metro, a 31-year-old woman with links to Thame has been named as the British national who died after being stabbed at a railway station in Germany.
Rebecca Bullock, known as Becca, was fatally injured at Rosenheim railway station in Upper Bavaria shortly before 1am on Sunday.
Rebecca, who managed the White Swan pub in Whitchurch, had recently arrived in Germany and was believed to have been travelling to Austria to attend a friend’s funeral.
German police arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene. He is currently being held in a psychiatric hospital.
Rebecca was a former pupil of Waddesdon Church of England School and was also a member of Thame Runners.
She completed the London Marathon in 2022, raising money for the Spinal Injuries Association.
Tributes have been paid to Rebecca by colleagues, friends and members of the Whitchurch community. The White Swan has remained closed following her death.
Rebecca was described as a caring and well-liked member of the community and had organised fundraising events at the pub, including an event which recently raised £900 to support a seriously ill local girl.
German police are appealing for anyone who witnessed an argument or physical altercation at Rosenheim railway station around the time of the incident to come forward.
The Foreign Office said it is supporting Rebecca’s family and remains in contact with local authorities in Germany.
