Hi all our tree planting people .....
James at Orchard View Farm in Little Meadle would like to thank everyone who came along to get his Woodland Trust moreHEDGES saplings into the ground within a week of them arriving. Although we don't believe there were quite the promised 3500 there certainly were a couple of thousand.
This email is a another fairly urgent call for tree planters !
Today some hedge planting will take place at the Thame Skatepark opposite Queen Elizabeth Circle recreation ground. The hedge location will be stripped of turf from around 10am and then some planting will take place from 10.30am.
If you would like to get involved please do email [email protected] and arrive 10.30am.
Please bring gardening gloves and a spade and strong warm boots - it's likely to be cold.
NEWS
The History walk through Cuttlebrook Nature Reserve was brilliant. John and Mike talked about how the reserve came into being, what trees were planted by 'the Men of Trees' in the 70s and which areas were planted up by Cuttlebrook Conservation Volunteers and how some of the original people are still looking after the reserve today. It truly is an amazing story. If you might be interested in doing the walk please email [email protected] and we'll let you know the date of the next one.
