At its meeting on 13 May 2025, Thame Town Council maintained its objection to the planning application at Oxford Road. Whilst overall the number of dwellings has reduced to 111 and there are good benefits to the proposal, at present the plans do not comply with the recently adopted Thame Neighbourhood Plan 2 (TNP2), specifically policies GDH1, GDH1d and NEC1. The council’s objections relate to the number of dwellings and how these are split over the two phases; the continued objection from the Environment Agency; impact on views from Oxford Road; future harm to the Cuttle Brook Local Nature Reserve; and failing to comply with policy on affordable housing provision. A comment was also made regarding First Homes.
