Thame was once again alive with the sound of music this weekend, as Elms Park welcomed Music in the Park for the 8th year running.
Thame basked in temperatures up to 26 degrees as over 5000 music lovers flocked to Elms Park with picnics, chairs and dancing shoes to listen to bands such as The Bootleg BeeGees, Memphis Rattlesnakes and Subject To Change. There were also performances from John Hampden School choir and Thame Pop choir. There was certainly a variety of musical talent on show to cater to all different musical tastes.
Well done to all who organised, volunteered and entertained in this special event. Thame was rocking! We can’t wait till the next one!
On the official Music In The Park Facebook page a message was posted “Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the wonderful and hard working volunteers, to all the artists who performed, to the stage managers, the back stage people, the sound and lighting teams, the litter pickers, everyone that turned up again early hours of this morning to finish the litter picking, and of course to you the public that came in your thousands, and made the event such an outstanding success, exhausted, but it was all worth it, what a great community we all live in"
