Thomley Announces New Festive “Light Walk” Event for December

25th November 2025

Thomley has unveiled a brand-new holiday attraction set to brighten up the community this December: the Thomley Light Walk. Running nightly from December 5th to 14th, the illuminated trail promises a magical evening experience designed for families, children, and visitors of all ages.

According to event organizers, the walk will feature a glowing display of festive lights, themed decorations, entertainment, and seasonal food and drink. The event also aims to raise vital funds for Thomley, making it both a celebration and a charitable initiative. Importantly, the Light Walk has been designed to remain relaxed, affordable, and accessible to all.

Weekend Highlights and Midweek Calm

On peak weekend dates, attendees can expect the “full magic of Christmas,” complete with enchanting sleigh-ride opportunities on Thomley’s land train and a variety of festive activities appealing to all ages.

For those seeking a quieter outing, midweek (off-peak) evenings offer a more peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a gentle stroll through the twinkling lights with opportunities for serene photo moments beside Lionel’s sleigh.

Event Details and Booking

  • Dates: December 5th–14th
  • Time: 5:00pm–8:30pm nightly
  • Booking: Required via Thomley’s online calendar at thomley.org.uk/calendar
  • Additional Notes: Tickets are non-refundable, and some activities—such as sleigh rides—are weather-dependent.
