The Thame Poppy Appeal raised a remarkable sum of money this year.
Organisers would like to express profound gratitude to the people of Thame, the surrounding areas, businesses, and especially the volunteers who helped to raise £28,944.22 – more than £5,000 than last year’s total.
Without the support of the Chinnor War Horse (Abby) and her rider Mo, the commemorative town centre poppy display, support from the Thame 1st Scout Group, Air Cadets, and Army Training Corps, the remarkable amount raised would not have been possible.
Funds raised enable the Royal British Legion to help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families all year round.
