RESULT: Thame Utd 4-0 Highworth Town
The Red Kites put on a fine performance yesterday afternoon to sweep aside Highworth at the ASM Stadium.
A first-half strike from Dave Pearce put Thame ahead at the break but it had been largely one-way traffic.
The second half saw Thame start brightly again and the lead was extended when Matt Peake-Pijnan's cross flew into the far corner.
A third quickly followed when a flowing move across the edge of the box saw Jack Gardner fire home via a great strike.
The goal of the game would come with 5 minutes left though, as Harry Alexander lifted the ball over a defender and hit a volley that the out-stretched Highworth keeper could only get fingertips to as the ball hit the post and nestled into the back of the net.
An excellent all-round performance with some great goals for the home crowd to enjoy!
