'Thank you' from Thame Drive Electric

What a fantastic day at the Thame Drive Electric awareness event in the Upper High Street car park. The event was attended by locals and visitors from afar, young and old, to view the 9 all-electric cars on show with their owners and learn all they could about electric vehicles and bikes. The interest was so much that one EV owner said 'I could have sold my car three times today.'

With test drives and free rides in Tesla cars too, the event was busy from start to finish with lots of questions answered and excitement also about the new Thame + Haddenham EV Hire Club where over 50 people have registered their interest. Watch out for more details here and on social media coming soon!

Thank you to Mayor, Councillor Paul Cowell who officially opened the event, expressing great support for the Thame Green Living Plan initiatives, of which this event was one, and a big thank you to local businesses for their generous donation of raffle prizes.

Most of all a HUGE THANK YOU to all the visitors, volunteers and local businesses who supported this event and helped to make it the great success that it was. We estimate that some 700 people visited across the day.

As many of you asked us to do it again, we're already developing some ideas for next year, so watch this space. Thank you Thame!
