Over the weekend Thame hosted its first outdoor cinema! From Friday-Sunday film goers were able to watch Slumdog Millionaire, Grease and Back To The Future at Elms Park.
We caught up with Tilly Rand-Bell, one of the event organisers to find out how it went:
Tilly said “Due to this being the first time we put on the outdoor cinema event in Thame, we were bound to fall upon some mistakes. We quickly turned these mistakes around and have learnt for the future. One thing we found hard to regulate was how many people would buy food and how many wouldn't, the first night we had little interest in food however the second we ran out of food. Next year we will make sure more is on offer and work out a way to solve this problem.
We have taken on board all the suggestions we have had, like lights in the toilets and more bins in the park, and next year we will bring more of a show to the venue before the film. Thank you to everyone who came and all the lovely feedback we have had, if you have any film suggestions for next year don't be afraid to comment.
Over all the cinema was a big success and we want to continue the cinema onto next year. Many thanks to all our helps, Project Bars, Le Van and Lolas for their catering.”
