Thame's Best Takeaway - Chippy - Winner Revealed!

So with the second category complete it's now time to reveal who our foodie has decided the winner of the best Chippy takeaway in Thame category is.

And the winner is........

Smarts Fish & Chips

"This was an extremely hard round to judge, both chip shops were extremely efficient in serving me and I couldn’t fault either on the taste.

So the only thing I could really judge these two on was price, The Chippy came in at £5.60 and Smarts was £5.00. The 60p difference was enough to earn them the victory.

An extremely honourable mention must go to The Chippy as although you are paying 60p more for your meal you are effectively getting a larger portion. But this review is also about getting value for money and with Smarts you are paying 60p less for what is a very fair medium portion."

So there you have it, Smarts Fish &  Chips joins Ming's Chinese Takeaway in the Thame's Best Takeaway Final. They will be joined by the best kebab, Indian and pizza place once the reviews have been completed.

Next up in our review will be Thame's best kebab.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
