Thame's Best Takeaway - Chinese - Winner Revealed!

So with the first category complete it's now time to reveal who our foodie has decided the winner of the best Chinese takeaway in Thame category is.

And the winner is........

Ming's Chinese Takeaway

“ Not only was Mings the cheapest Chinese takeaway, I felt that it was also the tastiest. Mings had had a name change and was formerly known as Tommy Yaki. So I’m pleased to see that they have managed to turn around what was a hard previous year for them, after being fined for mouse droppings.  Mings just pipped the others at the end as I felt their portion sizes, taste and price marginally beat the other candidates. If you haven’t tried their sweet and sour chicken dish then make sure you do, it was fantastic.

Hopefully this review has encouraged you to try a different Chinese that you might not usually go to. Although they didn’t win, The Sun, Famous House and Harvest Moon all deserve honourable mentions and are also fantastic establishments who all had their own merits as to  why they could have won! But there can only be one winner and that was Mings!”

So there you have it Ming's Chinese Takeaway is the first name to be entered into the winners category to see if they can win the coveted prize of Thame's best takeaway. They will be joined by the best pizza, kebab, Indian and chippy once the reviews have been completed. So stay tuned over the coming weeks for the next reviews.

Join River Thame Conservation Trust on Sunday, 16 August, from 10 am to 1 pm at The Old Fisherman in Shabbington (near Thame) to sketch the River Thame. We'll spend the morning looking closely at the river through drawing, painting and sketching. It's a chance to really get to know this stretch of the river, so it doesn't matter whether you paint every day or haven't picked up a crayon since primary school. Help and guidance will be available if you'd like it, and we'll finish by sharing our work together at 1 pm. You're welcome to stay afterwards and have lunch at the pub if you'd like…
