RESULT: Thame Utd 2 - 0 Barton Rovers
The Red Kites ended a run of 6 consecutive defeats by beating Barton Rovers 2-0 at the ASM Stadium this afternoon.
Thame had started really well and created numerous early chances without finding the back of the net. Barton had come back into the game and had their own spell before Greg Hackett gave Thame the lead with a smart finish in the 39th minute.
The second half was an even affair and Thame were able to increase the lead after 71 minutes when Harlem Hale was put through, he rounded the keeper before putting it on a plate for Pearce to score from close range.
A very welcome and much needed 3 points which will hopefully provide a platform to build on and move up the table over the coming weeks.
