Goals for Thame - Mapley 32, West 39, Blake 48 (pen)
A late addition to the pre season schedule saw Buckingham Athletic make the short trip to the ASM Stadium Tuesday evening.
Thame were in search of getting back to winning ways and finalising ideas ahead of the FA Cup tie on the 12th September.
This was another run out and another pre season win. Thame dominated the game from start to finish. Thame created chance after chance and were left frustrated for the first 30 minutes. Thame secured the lead from a set piece.
Thame defender Mapley jumped up to head a corner kick by Blake into the net. It didn't take long for Thame to double their lead. Goss was tackled inside the box leaving the ball to fall to West from a few yards out making it 2-0.
Ryan Blake was able to get on the score sheet again and this time from the penalty spot on the 48 minute mark. Thame continued to control the game passing the ball and attacking in numbers at times.
Buckingham had to wait until the second half for a shot on target. Buckingham nearly nicked one late on when a defensive error was nearly punished where a shot from distance rattled the bar. Thame continued to attack in the later stages but the 4th goal wasn't to be.
