Having dominated the match for long periods, United ultimately came away with nothing as the visitors took their chances in front of goal.
With injuries and player availability affecting the squad, Nick Harrison came in at centre-back for his Southern League debut, with Ben Sturgess moving in to midfield, and John Dennis replacing Luke Ricketts on the left.
Both sides settled quickly in to their game, with United creating the better chances, with a Dennis header comfortably saved, before the same player was ruled off-side when well placed. However, it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 13 minutes when a corner found its way through to the far post, and Beaconsfield captain, Luke Neville, headed home. United continued to press and, on 21 minutes, Dennis saw an effort deflected wide following a through ball from Harrison, before a Beaconsfield shot from distance failed to trouble Craig Hill.
Lynton Goss, who caused problems for the visiting defence all night, then saw an effort saved on 29 minutes, before a good passing move just before half-time ended with Dan West placing his effort just wide of the goal.
United started strongly in the second half and, after five minutes, a deep cross in to the Beaconsfield box was met at the far post by Ben Connelly, but his effort went wide. Shortly afterwards, a Goss corner went across the face of the goal, and agonisingly out of reach of a United touch. However, the equaliser eventually arrived on 65 minutes when another Goss corner to the far post was met by captain, Ellis Hercules, who gave the keeper no chance with a powerful header.
The lead only lasted five minutes as another corner was swung in to the United box, and Ajanlekoko finished well with a near post header. United went back on the attack and another Hercules header forced the keeper in to a fine save, before substitute Andy Gledhill saw two headers clear the bar. Despite the pressure, United were unable to find the equaliser, and it was the visitors who left with the points and maintained their play-off position.
