In 2017, Lord Williams's School Day Nursery applied for a Town Council grant, as part of our annual Grant Aid scheme, to fund a new race track for their nursery garden and were successful in their application. Last month, the Mayor of Thame, Cllr Tom Wyse, (pictured above) went along to visit the new track.
A nursery spokeswoman said: "Due to the generosity of our wonderful families supporting various events throughout the year, combined with the unexpected generous grant from Thame Town Council and Asda's green token giving scheme, we have at last been able to install an amazing resource for our children, a track in the garden. We can barely keep them in now!" The race track is complete with mini bikes and the garden has been adapted to create a sensory tunnel and adult-led activity area through up-cycling materials.
