| Thame Town Council have submitted a bid to South Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire County Council to ask for some of the funding they have been provided by the government to help get high streets back up and running to be spent in Thame. If successful this funding it will make temporary amendments to the town centre to help increase customer confidence that they can return to the town centre safely. They also want to deliver a campaign to residents to encourage them back to the town centre and make sure they understand the effort that businesses have put into place to meet Covid-19 restrictions, as well as encouraging them to shop local. They have also asked SODC to explore using some of this funding to work closely with OCC to ensure that their is a joined up approach to spending this money in the best way to benefit Thame. |
