A Thame based singer/songwriter has been given a great opportunity of working with Eurovision. Samir Elshay’s song “Crazy” has made the final 6 of the competition, if it wins, it will be this year’s UK entry and will be sung by the female singer Raya at the Eurovision Song Contest held in Lisbon during May.
The BBC 2 show “You decide” will be highlighting the finalists and will be airing on February 7th 2018.
Samir Elshay or Elshay as he prefers to be known, started his music career at seventeen when he studied for music performance and business A levels at south Thames college. He went on the following year to achieve a higher diploma in popular music performance and songwriting and graduated in 2010. Samir has since been working as a professional songwriter, writing for established and up and coming talent internationally. Samir is currently writing new material for his EP which he is releasing soon.
