Thame Santa Run to Bring Festive Cheer and Fitness Fun

9th October 2025

Thame residents are invited to get into the festive spirit at the annual Santa Run, taking place on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Invictus Fitness Centre, 3 Wenman Road, Thame, and offers participants the choice of a 3K or 5K run.

The Santa Run encourages people of all ages and abilities to join in a fun and active celebration of the holiday season. Participants are welcome to dress up in festive attire — from Santa suits to Christmas trees — as they jog, walk, or run the route.

Entry to the event costs £10 per person, with proceeds supporting Thame Youth Projects, a local charity dedicated to improving opportunities and wellbeing for young people in the area.

The event is organised in partnership with FIt, the Invictus Fitness Centre’s community fitness initiative, which aims to promote health, inclusivity, and local engagement through physical activity.

Runners will gather at the Invictus Fitness Centre before the start, with warm-ups and festive entertainment planned to set the mood. The Santa Run offers a chance for families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts to enjoy a light-hearted, community-focused event while supporting a good cause.

For registration and further details, participants can visit the event’s page on Eventbrite and secure their place in advance.

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
