Thame Players panto returns

Thame Players are delighted to be putting on their popular Christmas pantomime, after a year when it could not be held – for reasons we all know!  This year it’s Babes in the Wood, the story of two young children (the Babes), left abandoned deep in the forest by their wicked uncle and left to die, following the death of their father. The uncle thinks he will thereby inherit the fortune their father left them. But his plot is foiled when Robin Hood and his Merry Men rescue the Babes and they return to the castle with Maid Marion. The uncle is unmasked as the villain and the Babes get their rightful inheritance – oh, yes, they do!!

Babes in the Wood will include all the ingredients you’d expect in a Thame Players’ panto, for all the family. Booking is open from 25 October.

  • There will be 12 performances of Babes in the Wood, on Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December, and on Wednesday 8, Thursday 9, Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 December. On Saturdays and Sundays there are two performances at 2.00pm and 5.30pm. On weekdays there is one show at 7.45pm.
  • Tickets are £10.00 (£9.00 concessions) from Thame Town Hall Information Centre (check website for opening times) or from www.thameplayers.co.uk.
  • New members are always welcome, email [email protected] for details.
