Thame Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP)

10th July 2025

Oxfordshire County Council want to make walking, wheeling and cycling easier and more enjoyable for all in Thame. They have drafted a document called a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP). The document has been drafted with input from the local community to help them achieve this.

What is an LCWIP?

An LCWIP is a plan that identifies walking and cycling routes for local journeys e.g. to school, work and amenities now and in the future and suggests improvements to these routes to support more people to walk, wheel and cycle. Walking, wheeling and cycling for journeys can help us stay healthy, increase happiness and enable us to reconnect with nature.

You can read more information about Oxfordshire County Council's approach to LCWIPs(External link).
