Both teams won their opening fixture last weekend, so went into this game full of confidence. Thame were also keen to get one over Didcot following the 2-0 win for Didcot over Thame back in February at Loop Meadow.
This fixture saw Joe Wylie (midfielder) go straight into the matchday squad for the Red Kites.

This one went down to the wire. Thomas put the home side in front before half time. His left footed strike was bended in over Chris Rackley between the posts.
Thame did respond after the break and the committed Hackett got his reward when his shot was deflected but still flew in.

A lapse in concentration saw Didcot back the lead again on 62 minutes. A cross from the left wing reached Jeacock who fired it past Rackley. It was a scrappy end to the game with both sides having further opportunities.

Thame will feel frustrated to leave Loop Meadow empty handed.
