President of Thame Inner Wheel (2019 / 2020), Charlotte Elmer bids farewell in her role……….. Charlotte would like to thank everyone who has supported her charity: the Buckinghamshire NHS charitable fund which raised the sum of approximately £1,000.00 despite a year when efforts were seriously curtailed by Covid-19. Well done Charlotte!!
And they now welcome their new President, Linda Emery: Relinquishing one Chain of Office for another…….is incoming President, Linda Emery and a former Mayor of Thame, 2015.
Born in Henley within a large family of 5 brothers and 2 sisters & a long term resident of South Bucks. Linda was educated at Aylesbury College; she successfully managed her own business in Xerox reprographics until her retirement in 2017 to focus on council matters and charity work.
While Linda is heavily involved in all areas of Community & Spiritual life in Thame, she has also been a Girl Guide Brownie leader since 2015 and is currently mentoring 3 Brownies for the DoE award scheme – 2 silver and 1 gold.
Linda joined Thame Rotary in 2010 and was elected President in 2015; Inner Wheel followed not long afterwards. Her charities are for the local Thame Youth Project and the visually impaired. And when time allows, Linda enjoys overseas travel and is a keen collector of postal history 1800/1900 pertaining to South Bucks and South Oxon.
Linda’s outlook for the future: “The best way to predict the future is to create it”- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865).

Elected as Mayor of Thame in 2015. Raised a record amount for charity
Governor of Barley Hill School in 2018.
Member of Thame Housing Association 2016
Thame Museum Council Representative.
Member and supporter of St Mary’s Church, Thame.
