Thame Cricket Club announce that they will be entering a 4th team into the Cherwell League for 2018

Following a 23% increase in playing membership at Thame Town CC during 2017 we have now entered a 4th XI into the Cherwell League Division 10 for the 2018 season. This will be the first time in the clubs 140 year history to have four Saturday league teams.

This means we can now offer even more opportunities to play competitive Cricket on a Saturday. Having a fourth XI not only provides an opportunity for more adults to play but it also gives the youngsters coming through the junior section the experience to develop their skills in 45 over cricket in a friendly, professional and local environment.

The 4th team along with the 3rd team will play their matches on alternate weekends at Lord Williams Upper School starting Saturday 5th May. Having both teams play at Lord Williams, which is our 2nd ground, enhances our player pathway and strengthens our connection with Thame Schools even further. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lord Williams School for accommodating us throughout the Summer season and the Cherwell League for supporting us with this exciting development.

If you are interested in playing cricket on an occasional or regular basis in Thame please contact [email protected]

Indoor winter nets for adults will commence on Sunday 4th February from 5pm at Lord Williams Lower School, Towersey Rd, Thame OX9 3NW, UK (map).

All new comers welcome, come along and have a knock with TTCC!

Death Cafe @ Thame Barns Centre
You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake. We’re aiming to normalise the topic of death, raise acceptance, and help people make the most of their lives by breaking the taboo around mortality. It is not a grief support group or counselling session. These sessions have no agenda, objectives, or themes, allowing for organic, group-directed conversations about anything related to death, from end-of-life planning to fears and feelings, fostering open sharing in a respectful, confidential space. Death Cafe is run on a not-for-profit basis but if you are able to make…
